Pricing

Want to see what you actually get before paying? Read a full report on a deliberately broken page — unblurred, no email.

Free for checking your own work as you go. Paid for when you need pages watched every week, automatically, with a record you can hand to someone else.

Paid plans are in early access — there's no public sign-up button yet, so you email us to get set up. Billing itself runs through Stripe from there: a real card on file, automatic recurring invoices, and a self-serve portal to change your page count or cancel.

You choose how many pages to monitor. We check them weekly and rerun the vision audit when there's something new for it to judge — a page's images or their alt text changing. Your bill changes only when you change your page limit — no credits, no overage charges, no surprise invoices.

Agency is not Professional with more pages — read the table above and you'll see it costs more. At 100 pages Professional is $139 and Agency is $229, and that stays true until about 1,000 pages, where the lower per-page rate finally catches up with the higher base. What the extra buys is unlimited client sites: Professional monitors one site, so if you have five clients it isn't an option at any page count. If you only have one site, buy Professional. We'd rather say that here than have you work it out after paying.

Both paid plans are early access. Emailing us doesn't charge anything automatically — we reply and agree a start date first. Once that's set, billing itself runs through Stripe, the same as any subscription product: a real charge, a real receipt, and a self-serve portal for later changes. What's missing is a public "buy now" button, not the billing system behind it.

Getting set up doesn't mean typing fifty addresses. Point us at a site and we read its sitemap, skip anything already monitored, and let you pick from what's left — per site, so an agency does it once per client rather than once per page. Nothing is added until you choose it.

What Agency doesn't do yet

White-label PDF reports, prospect audit reports, root-cause grouping and separate viewer logins are all planned, and an earlier version of this page listed them as though they were included. They aren't built. We've taken them off the feature list rather than leave you to discover it after paying — if one of them is the reason you'd buy, tell us which and we'll say honestly when it's coming, or that it isn't.

What Agency does today: one pool of AI-monitored pages across as many client sites as you want, with each client's share of that pool shown so you know what to bill them, and every Professional feature on every one of those sites.

We corrected these prices before anyone could buy

An earlier version of this page showed $99 for 250 pages and $299 for ten sites. Those figures treated recurring vision audits as if they cost nothing — at 5–15¢ per page-audit, the agency plan would have lost several hundred dollars a month on every customer, and a plan that loses money is a plan that gets withdrawn or degraded later. No subscriptions were sold at those prices; we fixed them before opening checkout. If you emailed us under the old offer, we'll honour it as a one-time baseline audit — get in touch.

Why we cost more than a free scanner

A rule-based scanner reads your HTML: is there an alt attribute, does the page have an <h1>, is there a <label> on that input. None of that requires opening a single image or spending a cent per page, which is why tools built only on those checks can afford to be unlimited and free.

Our deep audit does something different: it downloads the actual image file and sends it to a vision model to check whether the alt text is true, not just present. That call costs us roughly 5–15¢ per page, every time, depending on how large the images are. Multiply that by hundreds of pages, re-run weekly, and it stops being a rounding error. Saying this openly is the honest answer to "why isn't this free and unlimited" — because unlimited would mean either losing money on every audit or quietly cutting corners on the checking itself, and we'd rather charge for it than do either.

The free tier's daily caps on deep audits, alt text checks and generations exist for the same reason, scaled down. One deep audit and one alt text check a day still cost us real money; we absorb it so you can see the actual product working on your own pages before paying for it. That's also why the free run isn't blurred or held back behind a "upgrade to see your results" wall — a free tier you can't read is a demo, not a trial.

If presence-checking is all you need, buy something cheaper

We're not the right tool for everyone, and it's worth saying so plainly. If you just need to catch missing alt attributes, missing labels and missing headings across a large site cheaply and without a page limit, rule-based scanners do that well and cost far less than we do.

Accessalyze runs axe-core underneath and prices from free up to $49 a month as of August 2026 — its tiers move, so check its site for current numbers before comparing. It won't tell you whether an alt description is actually accurate, but if that's not what you need, it's a reasonable, cheaper choice.

If you just want a free, unlimited way to spot-check pages yourself, install the Silktide accessibility toolbar. It's free, runs over 200 checks in your browser, and includes a screen reader simulator — genuinely useful, and it costs nothing.

What neither of those does, as far as we've found, is download the image file itself and verify the words against the picture. That's the specific gap GotAlt fills, and it's the only reason to pay for this instead.

If you pay for Professional or Agency and it isn't right for you, email us within 7 days of your first invoice and we'll refund it — no questions asked.

Questions

Why isn't the deep audit unlimited?

Because it isn't free for us to run. Each page audited means downloading its images and sending them to a vision model, at roughly 5–15¢ per page, depending on image size. A rule-based scan is nearly free to run at any volume; a vision check that opens image files isn't. The caps on the free tier and the page limits on paid plans both trace back to that one cost.

What exactly is an "AI-monitored page"?

One URL you've told us to watch. Every week we refetch it, rerun all 16 rule checks, and compare it against the last time we looked. If an image file or its alt text has changed, we rerun the vision audit on that page; if the images are byte-for-byte what they were, we don't — a new heading or a renamed form label changes the rule results without giving the vision model anything new to look at — there's nothing new to judge, and we're not going to bill you for re-reading an identical page.

Your page count covers both checks together — the weekly rule scan and the vision audit run on the same set of monitored pages, and there's no separate unlimited-rules tier on a paid plan. If you want to spot-check a page you haven't added yet, the free public scanner (up to 5 runs a day) works on any URL outside your plan.

How many images does the deep audit open per page?

Up to six per page, chosen from the images that carry meaning. If a page has forty images we do not open all forty — the vision cost would be roughly seven times higher per page, and the pricing above assumes we don't. The rule checks still cover every image on the page; it's specifically the "is this description actually true of the picture" step that's capped at six.

We'd rather tell you the number than let you assume it's unlimited. If you have pages where six isn't enough — a product gallery, a photo essay — email us and we'll talk about what a higher cap would cost.

What happens when I hit my page limit?

Nothing breaks and nothing gets charged automatically. Pages beyond your limit simply aren't added to the weekly vision audit, and we tell you plainly in the dashboard that they're waiting. You raise your page count when you want to — the price changes only when you change that number.

This is deliberate. Plenty of tools quietly meter you and land a bigger invoice at the end of the month. Your bill here is whatever your plan and page count say it is.

Can I cancel?

Yes. There's no contract and no lock-in period. Once you're set up, cancelling is self-serve through the billing portal linked from your account page. During early access, emailing hello@gotalt.com and asking us to stop works just as well.

Do you offer a trial?

Not a formal one — during early access, signing up starts you on a paid plan directly rather than a time-limited trial. What we'd point you to instead is the free tier: one deep AI audit and one alt text check a day, which is the same underlying check the paid plans run on a schedule. You see the entire result — we don't blur the findings and ask you to pay to read them. Try it on a few real pages before emailing us about Professional or Agency.

What if the audit is wrong?

It can be. We tune the vision model to stay quiet rather than guess, but false positives and false negatives both happen. Every issue on a paid plan comes with an evidence log — the image, its alt text, and the model's reasoning — so you can see exactly why it was flagged and judge for yourself. We only keep that record for what was flagged; an image that passed isn't logged anywhere, so if you want to know why one wasn't flagged, that's a judgment call you make by looking at it. Treat the audit as a strong first pass, not a final ruling — you know your images and their context better than any model does.
