Sample alert email and monthly summary

These are the two emails a GotAlt plan sends: an alert when a weekly check finds a new critical or serious issue, and a monthly summary. The text of both is written by the same code that writes the real emails, for the demo store in the sample report.

Samples for illustration. A real email names your own pages and issues.

A sample alert email

This is the email GotAlt sends when a weekly check finds a new critical or serious issue. For the sample, the issues the report finds on its demo store are treated as if they had appeared since the last weekly check: a real alert lists only what is new since the last check, and a page's first check sets a baseline that is never emailed. The email below lists 6 issues.

We found 6 new issues on pages you're monitoring: 6 critical.

These weren't there last time we looked, so something changed:

A sample monthly summary

The monthly summary is sent whether or not anything changed. This one is for the demo store as the report finds it: 1 page, checked every week, 4 checks in the last 28 days.

This is your monthly summary. It is sent whether or not anything changed, so that silence from us always means the same thing. The email checkbox in your dashboard switches off both this summary and the regression alerts together.

A sample monthly summary for a quiet month

The same page in a month with nothing serious open. A quiet month still gets its summary, so that silence from us always means the same thing.

What these emails are

  • Both are plain text, with a button that opens your account.
  • An alert is about critical or serious issues that were not there at the last check. Everything else waits in your dashboard.
  • The monthly summary is sent whether or not anything changed, and it names any page we could not check and why.
  • One checkbox in your dashboard switches off both emails.

Alert emails and the monthly summary are part of every plan on the pricing page. The free scan and the one-time Site Image Check send neither.

The free scan reads up to three pages of your site in under a minute, with nothing to sign up for. Plans check the pages you choose every week.
